From the beautiful lecture given by HG Mukt Purush prabhu ji
Lord Sri Krishna is the all-attractive Supreme Personality of Godhead. Just as a ripe mango is sweet in every bite, Krishna’s names, qualities, forms and pastimes are sweet in every aspect. The word MANGOFESTIVAL beautifully reminds us of some of His wonderful qualities.
M – Mukunda: The giver of liberation and eternal happiness. A – Achyuta: The infallible Lord who never falls from His position. N – Navneet Chor: The charming butter thief who steals not only butter but also the hearts of His devotees. G – Giridhari (Govardhan-dhari): The protector of Vraja who lifted Govardhan Hill to shelter His devotees. O – Omkar Swaroop: The source and essence of the sacred syllable Om.
F – Friend of All: Krishna is the well-wishing friend of every living being. E – Ever Young Krishna: Although eternal, He always appears fresh, youthful and beautiful. S – Sarva-Akarshaka: The all-attractive Lord who attracts everyone through His unlimited beauty and mercy. T – Tribhangi: The enchanting form of Krishna standing in His threefold bending posture while playing the flute. I – Indra Daman: The Lord who humbled Indra’s pride and established pure devotion. V – Vatsala: The most affectionate Lord who loves and protects His devotees. A – Adipurusha: The original Supreme Person, the source of all incarnations and all creation. L – Leela Purushottam : The performer of unlimited transcendental pastimes that bring joy to the hearts of devotees.
The teachings of Bhagavad Gita and the process of Krishna Consciousness help us remember these divine qualities. By chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and engaging in devotional service, we can develop love for Krishna and experience the sweetness of His presence in our lives.
